Account validation
Accepting customers’ bank account details to set up direct debits can be time-consuming. The account number, sort code and other details may not match. You may have to follow up with your customer to confirm details.
The Realex Payments Virtual Terminal service is a comprehensive validation tool that can greatly reduce costs associated with wrong sort code or account information.
It allows you to:
- Verify that the sort code is correct for that branch
- Verify that the account number is valid
- With some banks, verify that the account number is a valid number for that sort code
- Display all details of the branch, including name, address and phone number
The virtual terminal is a browser-based tool, so no installation is required on your side, just internet connectivity. Alternatively, you can integrate our validation tool with your own in-house systems.
