Daft.ie wins Online Trader Net Visionary Award
The IIA Net Visionary Awards 2008 took place on Thursday evening, 30th October in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
Brian Fallon from Daft.ie took home the award for Best Online Trader of the year, which was sponsored by Realex Payments.
Pat Phelan of Maxroam announced as overall Net Visionary 2008 for his outstanding contribution to mobile internet.
Other winners announced on the night were;
- Best Business Podcaster award was won by Alex Gibson who presents The Persuaders on Dublin City Fm
- Best Online Financial Service award winner was Martin O'Leary of RaboDirect
- Cathy Clarke of the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority collected the e-Government Award for Itsyourmoney.ie
- Paul Whelan was presented with the Educational Contribution award.
- Derek Quinn won the Internet Entrepreneur award for MyAddress.ie
- Marie Boran from Silicon Republic was presented with the Journalist Award.
- Johnny Beirne of Downloadmusic.ie was presented with the Mobile Internet Innovation award.
- Karen Hanratty of Pixel Design was awarded the Web Designer Excellence.
- The Web Developer Excellence award went to Jennifer O'Brien of Webtools Software.
