Infrastructure and Security Architect (Enterprise IT)
Primary Accountabilities
The Infrastructure and Security Architect works in Enterprise IT, a core function in the business. This team consists of IT architects, each one relatively focused in the specific domain area for which they are most competent, but all closely cooperating under the management of the Head of Enterprise IT. You will have experience and a proven track record in architecting and implementing IT infrastructure and information security solutions in an enterprise role.
Responsibilities
- Define the infrastructure and security architecture in line with business strategic objectives delivering a real time, constantly available, secure environment;
- Develop and maintain the baseline architecture of the infrastructure and security services – ensuring full compliance with all relevant external and internal policies, standards and in accordance with the business continuity and disaster recovery plans;
- Maintain a comprehensive body of company documentation detailing the policies and standards for IT infrastructure and information security;
- Drive the necessary projects to deliver the infrastructure and security roadmap;
- Drive the evaluation and selection of the required technical products;
- Provide solution design input and capability for IT development projects and ensure all developments are completed to the architecture;
- Monitor new technologies and analyse their applicability to the business;
- Assess business cases, proposals and deliverables to determine impact on and compliance with the network and infrastructure, including sizing, performance and capacity planning.
Experience & Skills
- The successful candidate will have substantial experience in the processes and methods of an enterprise function, involved in definition, specification, delivery and providing design support to IT projects.
- At least seven years or more relevant IT experience, of which at least four in relevant enterprise roles;
- Academic qualifications in the area of Information Technology;
- Work experience in a financial services environment would be an advantage.
- Cryptography and cryptographic technology;
- Detailed technical and working knowledge of standards, particularly PCI-DSS;
- Network management processes, organisation, and tools; Storage area networks;
- Data network architectures, protocols, and standards, covering LAN, WAN, VPN, and public networks;
- Ability to express ideas in clear and concise language;Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution, comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures;
- Practical working experience of business requirements analysis and a demonstrated structured and methodical approach.
