Primary Accountabilities

Realex Payments is seeking an information security systems administrator to be responsible for the daily administration of key information security infrastructure. Reporting to the Security and Infrastructure Manager this role will involve managing infrastructure such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, network scanning and change control auditing. Responding to and investigating suspected security breaches. Reviewing and auditing changes to production environments.
 

Duties and Specific Responsibilities/Experience

A background in general administration of network and systems coupled with more recent experience of dedicated information security infrastructure is required. The candidate must be able to display a competent and working knowledge of networks and systems and the application of information security in these areas. The candidate will be expected to have excellent technical skills, with preference given to candidate with working experience in the following:

1. Management of firewalls and firewall policy changes.
2. Management of Intrusion Detection Systems and response to alerts.
3. Routine scanning of networks looking for potential vulnerabilities.
4. Management of change control auditing software.
5. Monitoring of patch management systems.
6. System and network hardening documentation.
7. Routine reporting on the active threat environment. 

Experience in the banking, payments or financial services industries would be a distinct advantage.
