Primary Accountabilities

The successful candidates will be required to participate in the design, implementation, testing and documentation of applications and services in an innovative and expanding organisation. As a Software Developer with Realex Payments, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing industry leading services providing online payment solutions to a global market.

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years post-graduate development experience in a commercial environment. It would be highly desirable to have gained this experience in the banking, payments or financial services industries.

The successful candidate will have the following personal attributes:

• Able to work on own initiative individually and as part of a team.
• Flexible, willing to learn and sociable.
• Good communicator, both verbal and written.
• Have good problem solving and all round technical skills

Knowledge of the following technologies is desirable:

• Java
• PERL
• Web Technologies such as AJAX, ASP, JSP, XSL, HTML.
• XML
• SQL

The role is primarily a programming role that will involve maintaining and adding new functionality to a number of existing applications and services. These applications and services utilise multiple technologies and operate in a real-time 24x7x365 environment. An enthusiasm for secure development methodologies would be advantageous. Good communication skills are required as the position involves interaction with various team members including project managers, lead analysts, quality assurance analysts and developers.
